Looking Ahead
- Centrally located Vocational Training Center for expanded and enhanced Career and Technical Education opportunities for students and our community
- County-wide universal pre-k program
- Partnering with the local college to grow and expand early college opportunities
- Expand projects such as the “Tiny House” to maximize life skills training for students with disabilities to ensure success after high school
- Increase drug and alcohol education programs for students
- Increase mental health support for students and families
- Expand the Employee Wellness program to include support at every school site
- Prepare and initiate New school(s) construction to address growth
- Expand the recently launched Parent University to include informational offerings for parents, grandparents, and community members
- A plan for expanding STEM learning – establish a teaching and learning mobile unit that will deliver STEM opportunities on site, beginning with elementary schools
- Continue to work with the County, City, and towns on affordable housing opportunities for our NCSD employee heroes
- District-wide “State of the Schools” council made up of parents, students, and community members
- Continue to make safety a priority with upgrades and enhancements for every campus
- Expand agriculture programs in partnership with the northeast Florida fair association
